Just adding my 2 cents to the other reviews. My cord broke as well which is unacceptable for such expensive headphones and a $40 cord.

This cord has broken on me TWICE now! For some reason, I considered the first time it ripped my own fault, so I didn’t exchange it at the store but, instead, bought a whole NEW one. Now THIS one is ripped at the same spot as well, and I’m now out $80 with no headphones! Other than that…I love them!

The mobile communications kit is great for what it does. I can cruise around and listen to my iPhone’s ipod and when I get a phone call, I can answer, and speak through my headphones. Bose is amazing at replacing items within their warranty. This wire actually fringed on me and I had to buy another one (which is why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5) and I did not keep my original receipt to prove it was within the 1 year warranty. Otherwise they would have replaced it (so keep your electronic receipt, just in case). Great for what it does though.

These Mobile Communications Kit cords break way too easily. I have owned 3 in the past year. They break at the connection for the phone as well as where they plug into the headphones. It works great before it breaks but come on Bose, for $40 can’t you make a decent cord? Love the headphones, BTW.

Apple’s claim this kit works with the iPhone 3GS is only partially true. Stereo audio works (but you don’t need this kit for that!) however, the microphone simply does NOT work at all. After much confusion, I finally got Bose tech support to admit this. Do NOT purchase for use with the 3GS – you will be wasting your money…
